This is a jazz poster advertising a jazz showcase with visual elements that imitates Duke Ellington's unconventional style of sonic textures and compositions, using components derived from collages made with hand-dyed paper.

Process
Pieces were extracted from a collection of collages to form the final composition. The collages themselves were initially based off real-life pictures of architecture and street views. Much like jazz and music, the forms were then improvised and moulded into a way where there was continuous rhythm and contrast.
